Outlook Express problem

My e-mails are via Outlook Express. Until yesterday, when I clicked on INBOX I would get a list of the e-mails awaiting me, giving sender and subject so that I could decide which to open and which to delete.
But when I clicked on INBOX yesterday I got no list. Instead I got the first e-mail, already opened. And the only way I could get to the next one was to delete the first.
Obviously I can't work this way, so how can I get back to the list system?
( By the way, the same has happened to other folders like SENT and DELETED items.)
Grateful for any help you can give.

I don't have Outlook Express near me but it sounds like you've accidentally removed the list menu. Try going into View on the top menu and see if anything in there has been unticked by accident.
