Does anyone know how much it will cost to get my electric window fixed. I think the arm has gone on it.

to get our astra electric window fixed it was about 400 for the part .had it done on insurance in end .

Hi Millyboo, I had the same probs with my coupe It turned out to be the Plastic Cog within the motor, you can do the job yourself if the window sticks half way up or you can hear a clicking sound its the Cog If you are Mech minded take off the door card you are dealing with TORC Screws get yourself some plastic clips for the door card before you start as some will break when you remove the door card, when you have removed the card, door speaker wires + the Electric mirror plugs pull back the plastic cover that is behind the card to expose the wiper links, the bolts that hold the linkage are either loose or as i have said it is the plastic cog within the motor, If it is the cog undo the Torc screws to expose the innerds you will see the cog, the plastic teeth on the cog can be repaired by a file this I have done with succes & saved a lot of money the job should take you about 2hrs tops, If you need any futher help contact me.
