North West - BBC Off Air

Hi,

Anyone else had BBC1 and 2 going off air on and off this afternoon?  Perhaps only in Manchester/the North West.  Mine went off right in the middle of "Murder, She Wrote".  ITV and C4 were fine at these times.  I just wondered if it was a signal problem, or if some darn fat pigeon had landed on our areal and upset the receiving!  Thanks! :-)

PS - Did I spell areal incorrectly in my question?  Please correct me if so.  I just can't decide which spelling looks right!!

A E R I A L actually - I just checked it.  I knew it wasn't ariel - that's the other laundry product and I didn't want to confuse matters.

It's not just you, ours kept going off aswell. Must be something up with the Winter Hill transmitter.
