Anything that your mum cooked for you as a child? If you cook it and tell her it "reminds you of home" yada yada yada, you'll be golden and be sure to be written into the will.
I am being cooked for! First time ever that as a Mum I am being invited to son and partner's for Sunday dinner. I am apparently getting a super dooper curry!! I lost my Mum two days after Mother's day last year :o).

Suggestions:

Main course - Nothing better than roast beef with all the trimmings, including yorkshire pud.

Pudding. Mum will be too full up, but fresh fruit salad and cream would be nice!!

LOL Boo, well she has no money and also dementia, so that could be a bit tricky! I'm doing it because my daughter's husband cleared off and left her with 3 small children, so I want to make it special for her and the kids really

have a lovely day Lottie, I'm sure you will. My Mum's going to my Brothers, I'll pop over and see her there. then come back and cook the lunch
I am making posh macaroni cheese for my mum!

I know what you mean with the dementia. I don't think I'll see my Nan on Sunday...I'll take her for lunch on Monday instead...not that she'd know...

I'm being cooked for...roast leg of lamb. This will be the first time he's cooked anything other than a fry up for me...
Oh I would go for a nice chicken casserole! Easy to do so you dont spend forever in the kitchen and really nice, with some vegetables and jacket potatoes!

sounds lovely ummmm enjoy. I just can't make my mind up what to make. everyone likes different things...
Awww mazie, what a nice thing to do. So you're actually cooking a meal for your daughter and not your mum?

Ok, how about a meal she loved as a child? Even if it's something daft like boiled egg and toast soldiers? I'm sure she'll love it (and be sure to remind her of it when it comes to choosing your nursing home ;-) )

hi wiggal, good idea but since my old man saw a piece on the TV about chicken farming he hasn't touched a piece of chicken, which really pees me off because I love it!

LOL Boo, how very right you are. I will dont worry. We are in the process of trying to get my Mum in somewhere nice. I found the ideal place, but I cant get the funding (such a shame)
How about sausage casserole with mash and veggies then? Again it is pretty easy to do so you are not tied to the kitchen.

I loooooove casseroles if you hadnt guessed lol!
