For the past two days I have had to sign in every time I access AB. Previously my profile came up automatically. I have ticked the box 'Remember me on this computer' but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Anyone else experiencing the same? Is it a recent admin change or just my PC?

Not to my knowledge
... or changed your Cookies setting(s) ?

I'm not really sure what cookies are. I might have done something accidentally when I was having a few problems at the weekend. It's not really a problem, I just wondered why, when I have ticked the 'Remember me' box, it still doesn't work.

(you've probably turned on clearing browser history on exit)
The "Remember Me" feature uses Cookies, so if you set your system to Disallow Cookies, then this feature is defeated.

OK. In that case can anyone tell me how to restore cookies on Firefox? Thanks in advance and also for all replies.
Try the following:

Preferences > Privacy > Tick 'accept cookies from sites'... 'keep until they expire'.

Preferences > Security > Tick 'remember passwords for sites'.
Click on Firefox in the menu bar then select Preferences from drop-down menu. Then select Privacy from the menu at the top of the panel which appears, then tick/untick boxes for Cookies as appropriate to your preferences.

(P.S. This is for Mac - don't know if Windows is the same, but expect so)
