Virus

My desktop PC would appear to have been infected by a virus but when you click to remedy it a page comes up and you have to enter your details along with visa details to have it rectified.I havent done this.Also as well as this an email has been sent to at least 20 of my contacts apparently from me and if you click the link it takes you to a viagra website.This happened a fair few weeks back as well.
We cant access the internet or explorer at all on it -just keeps blocking any attempt.However I have been able to access AOL and read all my EMails on my laptop which is routed via the desktop PC router.
Any clues?

When I try to access anything a red box comes up and has SECURITY TOOL at the top and in the info box it says ; MOM.exe infected with worm Lsas.Blaster.Keyloger.

When you click that you want to proceed thats when the page comes up from SECURITY TOOL requesting all your details.

How can I get rid of them !!

You had better get Chuckfickens on the case Dris as he will know what to do

malwarebytes will cure it, but you will need to install it, update it and run the scan while in safe mode.

Thanks very much Chuck -can I be so bleeding computer illitertate to ask what safe mode is ?

It starts the computer with the bare minimum needed to run it, if you start it in normal mode the security tool virus will block you running malwarebytes

select safe mode with networking and you should be able to still access the internet while in safe mode to download and update malwarebytes.
