It is entirely unsatisfactory as it doesn't explain the origin of the creator nor the mechanism of creation. "Let there be whatever and their was whatever".
Like the concepts of space, time and matter, the Big Bang is our interpretation of Quantum interference patterns in a reality composed of waves.

Creationism in it's broadest sense is only compatible with the big bang in it's narrowest sense.
The big bang was not some explosion into a previously existing void.
The big bang implys the creation of space and time itself
The whole concept of some God creating everything with the big bang is a nonsense because there is no time "before" it.
God as a creator is also a complete cop out unless you wan't to give me a theory about where this God came from.

Creationism, implies the existence of a highly evolved, highly developed, extremely intelligent entity, necessarily infinitely more complex than the universe it was alleged to have created. It is infinitely more likely that such an entity is itself the creation of a highly developed entity which could only have become manifest by virtue of an already existing universe from which to evolve in, mistakenly and misguidedly lending its own characteristics to the universe as a whole only to allay its own ignorance.
