Getting a car with a disabillitys

I don't mean a car for somebody disabled, its a car paid for by the NHS if you have a slight disablement, Its information for my neighbour a few doors away..

Who does she write to for a form?

I've never heard of the NHS paying for cars. do you mean the Motability scheme? that's for people on Disability Living Allowance.

If they have a 'slight disablement' they don't need a free car

I have never heard of one, there is a car scheme where your hospital mileage and parking is reimbursed, using your own car.

To get a Motability car the claimant must be on (Disabled Living Allowance) with the mobilty component in the HIGH band. DLA is in two parts (mobility and care).

If this is the case then go to a registered dealer - I think that is practically all new car dealers - and they effectively do the rest

its not a free car from the DLA, you pay your benefits to the car dealer who lets you lease the car for 3 years

So she has to be on Disability Living Allowance, will have to check with her.

as puternut says, she will need to be getting the higher rate of the mobility component, and the award has to be for at least 3 years.
