Male / female toilet

i am a female working in an all male environment. we have recently moved to a new office where there is only 1 toilet. what is the law on this. does there have to be a seperate male and female toilet and do they have to provide sanitary bins. there are only currently 7 male staff and of course me! any help would be appreciated..

Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992:

The washing facilities should have running hot and cold or warm water, soap and clean towels. Men and women should have separate facilities unless each facility is in a separate room with a lockable door and is for use by only one person at a time. As a general guide 1 toilet and 1 wash station is required for up to 5 members of staff, 2 of each if you have 6 to 25 staff and 3 of each between 26 to 50 staff work at the same time.

I have worked in many places where there is only one loo- for example, shops where you may have one loo downstairs and a tiny kitchen or sink.

Yes but at home people don't tend to live with strangers. 

Plus, at home, one doesn't need a blue bin, as us girlies deal with those things ourselves.  Not having a blue bin in the loos at work can cause much humiliation for women at work (and at school for that matter too).
