The River Waveney forms part of the county boundary between Suffolk and Norfolk. Those to the north of the river can be considered 'North Folk' and those to the south would be 'South Folk'.

Ellingham Hall is 1.4 km north of the river, in the land of the 'North Folk'.

Photographer Tim Driver (from Stowmarket, Suffolk) can say Ellingham Hall is in Suffolk if he so wishes but that does not make it correct.
