My friend and her partner have an eight year old daughter. By choice she will be an only child, do you think this is a good decision or selfish on their part ?.
She would love a brother or sister, but mum or dad are really into their careers
I personally think its a case of whatever works for you is ok..

In we both have none, but this hasn't affected us in any way - I can't see that it would have made any difference to having an only child. I have a well adjusted content son and I was a very content Mum and we both spent loads of time with him. He has a large network of friends all over the country and overseas and I was never a Mum who wanted her kid tied to her apron strings. In fact I probably encouraged him actively to spread his wings and grab all he could from life.
