I can still remember how much I hated school and all teachers, a teacher once threw a blackboard duster at me for talking in class and christened me 'Flash' it stayed with me 'till I left.
A lot of lads in my year called each other by their surname. I was always called by a shortened version of my christian name. A very, very select few used to comment on my tall, slim frame "lanky" was the most common one. Now I am in my middle-age and still have that look, I know they were only jealous...lol
At school I was nicknamed Blips - which stood for Big Lips. I hated it so much I would spend all day sucking my lips in - I must have looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp.
I had the last laugh when the Angelina Jolie look became fashionable
I carried on my older Brothers Nickname "Caz" (RIP) mostly at school but carried on by a few mates after school, just a shortened version of my surname.
I was called Mouse at high school and that was OK.
One guy pretty much named everyone in the first year. Two girls copped really tough nicknames.
"FortyFour" was named because he thought she was the same shape of a forty-four gallon drum.
He named another girl Stinky and I think this did her incredible damage. I was appalled at those who would use that name for her. I never would descend to that kind of abuse of another person.
