I posted a question in technology - sub heading computers - haven't had a reply but that's not the issue - I've been having a problem for about a month now about my emails not downloading consistently - have just had a session with BT helpline (a very helpful Indian gentleman who was amazingly patient with me!) and all is fixed. I know it's commonplace to moan about BT etc but would just like to say how helpful I found the service. I'm the first to complain if I get bad service so was very pleased to be able to say 'well done' to BT.

also had problems getting online after a radical reboot.phoned virgin late on and got an Indian gent who talked me through the process-only wish I could remember half of his great advice-well done to the subcontinent I say!

totally agree tommy-h - I'm a complete technophobe (as two wonderful gentlemen on this site know to their cost - they must have pulled their hair out a million times helping me) - am so pleased to be able to say thank you to BT for a job well done.

I had a problem once with B.T and they had people from Canada ringing Me to help, They even offered to ring Me on xmass day.
Turned out it was all My fault like but hay ho lol.

I agree carmalee, I've phoned the BT helpline twice and each time they have phoned me back and been on the phone about 40 mins helping the non-technical me get back on line. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

thank you arwyn it's going on brilliantly - couldn't be better but I know it's going to be a long job but at least I'm driving the ponies now (only the one's I know aren't going to throw a wobbly!)
Honestly Boxy it was real pleasure to have such good service from a big corporation.
