I used Freecorder to copy a piece of music from You tube...

...and downloaded it onto my iPlayer. Now I'm getting a message that the iPlayer is corrupted. Could the music have brought with it a virus? Probably a stupid question, I know.

Copy and paste the youtube .url in to the box, choose your preferred quality and it will save the sound from the video to your desktop as an .mp3 file...
Music data ought not have code that can run and mess things up, but these days even data can come with executable code.

I'm not going to claim to know owt about iPlayer, but I'd be sceptical of the music data being the cause.

I'll clear iTunes of all music and restore the iPlayer. That should solve the problem.
