Saturday Kitchen - Wine choices

Every week they send someone out to some town/village somewhere in the UK to select a wine to go with whatever is being cooked. But all these people do is walk straight into the nearest shop, usually Sainsburys or Waitrose so why do they bother sending them somewhere. They might aswell just find the nearest store to the TV studio.

They often go to local independent shops.

It's wasted on me....I've already forgotten what wine they've recommended.

I don't know why I watch it anyway. I hate cooking and my wine choices are fairly limited to finding a bottle of Pinot for under a fiver.
