Raw Read Error Rate?

Can anyone explain what this represents and what sort of numbers should follow it after doing a 'scan' using Majix PC check?

It's an indication of the amount of read errors the drive has experienced.
Can't say what number "should" follow it because it depends on the manufacturer of the drive, but generally lower is better.
Also don't be surprised if it's not 0, all hard drives experience read errors, its unavoidable due to the amount of data they cram into such a small area, it only becomes a problem if the errors are above the value the error correction can deal with.

Thanks for that info. ChuckFickens. I'm really worried now 'cos I've just run another check and it shows '12725 read attempts' ! Is there any way of checking what the error correction limits or tolerances are with the default drive that came with the system (Dell Dimension 5150 with 150Gb drive) and if the drive is 'on the blink', can a new one be installed and everything 'swapped' onto the new one?
