Typed letters slow to appear.

Occasionally when I type the letters do not first appear only to appear one after the other a second or so afterwards.

This may not happen for weeks and then it will happen, but then goes back to normal in a few minutes.

Can anyone please tell me why this is?

Something is taking up all the resources on your computer, is it running a virus scan in the background, maybe?

This happens on mine sometimes and I think it's normally when there is something going on in the background, like a virus scan.

Don't know. Happens with me as well sometimes. Possibly the site is busy doing something else.

Mine is very slow when doing a scan but has happened at other times as
well. No idea why!

I've had that particularly on the work PC. Not been able to work out what is grabbing all the resource. If you type ahead enough it can lose the last part of your sentence too. :-( Most annoying.

It's been happening to my old laptop recently too - a new phenomenon.

I think it is an AB fault, as I have tried Word when it is happening, and it wasn't affecting that.

FuckChickens is probably right. At any one time there are about 20 internal programs running and some take priority over others.

It happens to me, but mainly on AB, rarely on other sites
