Eccles & all. xx
TWR, changing the subject, you mentioned on a previous thread that you wrote Lyrics, any examples, we might have a star in our midst.
You never know!
i have.....barclays tried lying to us saying we hadn't signed for ppi on 2 loans we'd had. they would have been invalid due to mr kicker's health issues. we had to write a few stern letters and put up with a little harassment from them. in the end the financial obudsman wrote to them and then they sharply coughed up the money. a good start is this website....i followed thaeir advice and it's fairly easy to do yourself. you have to be quite persistent with your bank as they do like to drag their feet and delay writing until the last minute (around 40-60 days initially for a response, for example). go for it and good luck!

this website looks like an advert, but it isn't......the home screen is very busy:

For you Baldric, this was a part of a Song I wrote for my brother that dies 2 years ago in Oz.

"Brother can you hear me"

You may not be here But I hear you
There maybe water between us But I see & can feel you
You are not alone & I love you,

I will not go any more into the lyrics as there is a lot of emotion in the words.
A lot get comfort in a lot of avenues, this is mine.
The love shines through, beautiful words xx
Re the OP, yes and yes and yes. We used an agency as we felt that would suit us better than doing it ourselves - it's been well worth it. Each to their own re the intermediary, as has been said before - if you have time to do the chasing, worth it, if you haven't - then do what we did.

Btw re the early response on this thread, you don't need a policy number to be able to claim, where they ask for policy number I just reentered the card or loan number, that was quite sufficient.
Hi Nibble, think you are answering me in part. We have moved four times in the last six years and have no details of the financial stuff. The company we used said they would be able to proceed without these details when we spoke to them on the phone but they were obviously telling porkies.
Sher, what nibble says is right, when we filled in our forms (his and mine) I don't think the credit card companies ever gave us a separate policy number. We just wrote the card numbers again in the box for the policy number - it didn't present any problem at all. All we had to do was send in the form and a copy of the old credit card or loan statement with a line showing the charge for PPI being made to the account.
You'll get no stick off of me for that TWR, I can certainly see where you're coming from, and sorry for your loss,

No probs Baldric, I'm sure we have all been through a family loss in our life, at times we can not except it.
