Gbh Sec 20 & Common Assult Charge
A friend was recently charged with GBH sec 20 and Common assault after an incident in the pub. He threw one punch at one person after being antagonized and was then grabbed from behind (like a bear hug) by that persons friend which he shrugged off and then pushed him back 1 foot to a wall, before sitting back down and minding his own business.
The person who was punched needed surgery and 2 plates in his cheek (the sec 20 gbh charge), the latter sustained no injury.
The cps have confirmed they are pursuing these 2 charges.
What would be the likely out come?
mags or crown court?
his first offence.
