Have you had a message from BT to say your broadband connection has been activated? There's further info available here... http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8192/~/how-do-i-install-my-bt-home-hub%3F

Not an expert in connecting wireless stuff myself. But to state the obvious, have you tried powering off and then on again the PC so it can retry to connect to the router ?

Failing that I await someone to say where the erroneous settings might be.
First make sure the router is operating. I think the BT hub shows a blue light when it's working.

On the PC ... a simple thing to try is ........ "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Networks". Then either select "re-connect" or try "troubleshooting".
As above and also try the small reset button on the back of the router. Is the wireless indicator on.....((.))....on the front panel

In the bottom right corner you will see an icon somewhere near the speaker icon. If you hover your mouse cursor over it it will say something like "Wireless Networks Available". Click on this icon. If your router is switched on and the lamps are all blue it will probably be at the top of the list and say something like BT Hub 3 -ABCD. Click the one that corresponds to your BT HUB, You will then be asked to enter your wireless key, this will something like ab123c4567. Once entered it should connect and stay connected unless you disconnect it yourself.
my BT hub has a button, you press it and it automatically sets up the wireless connection to the computer, but you must respond within 30 seconds.
Has your pc got wifi (usually shown by a blue light). To connect to wifi you need to enter the WEP code, shown on back of BT modem.

nb Check 3 lights are green on modem.
tambo on my BT hub the 3 lights are blue.........
oh well craft, there might be various colors, mine are red when started, then to amber followed by green when the hub is ready.

did you get your car going
The daughter's boyfriend is coming round on Friday to sort the battery out.
i have had problems and done everything - pulled wires out here and there - and it was actually the plug in the socket - it had become loose.
