This happened to me before but I have got a pan stuck in a pan - googled it and told me to put it into extremely hot water and ice cubes in the upper pan - hasn't worked. I tried to WD40 oil around bottom rim - that hasn't worked - any ideas anybody - thanks for any replies.
just after banging pans and won't shift - top pan moves a little up one side then down the other. Don't have brute force I am too puny particularly in the arms - will try again the hot water - it did work last time.
Well put pan onto low heat on cooker and ice on top - kept an eye on it and off it popped. having said the lower pan was teeny wee burnt but got it off.
Mrs.WW has some favourite pans that have to be stacked due to storage space shortage and had the same problem. She now puts a plastic circle thingy (I think it is to fry eggs in) in the lower pan and has not had any trouble like that since.
