if another dog...that does not like dogs on leads...lunges/snaps at my dog because she's on lead?
Well...it seems to be according to the other dogs owners. I should 'walk away' so their little darling does not go after mine, because they see no reason why their dog should be on lead as she's never bitten another dog...and if I don't like it,I should f***ing take my dogs lead off.
Am I doing something wrong?...answers on a post card,please.

Read something the other day where this was happening regularly. The person with their dog on a lead was being pestered by another dog, so they took a spare lead with them and put it on the pestering dog and started walking away. The owned chased after them and asked what they were doing with his dog, so they said they assumed it was a stray as no-one seemed to be bothered about it and they were taking it to the dogs home. The point was made!
I may be talking a load of nonsense, but I was under the impression that there was a law saying dogs must be kept on a lead. When I was young packs of dogs roaming the streets were commonplace and now it is comparatively peaceful, with an occasional dog taken for a walk and always on a lead. My fear of dogs comes from my youth, although I have conquered it enough to welcome any that greet me.
