We are studying Egypt this term and I am looking for songs I can sing and dance to with young children. So far have Walk like an Egyptian, Egyptian reggae and Any dream will do. Does anyone have any other ideas? TIA

Call me an old grouch, but these songs don't seem at all Egyptian.
Why not try a little real Egyptian music?

Thanks both. I know they're not really Egyptian, but I'm looking also for songs that young children can sing

You could follow up with some Egyptian dancing by Wilson Kepple and Betty.

Why not tell them the story of the boy king. Who when discovered was eventually brought to England for every one to see. I realise kids need to play, but teach them facts not fiction.
I too was going to suggest the Sand Dance. Even if you don't want the children to do it, I think they would find it funny to watch
