Just wandered if cats can eat dog food?

As I understand it, a little wont harm, but you should feed your cat on cat specific food since that contains the amino and fatty acids that cats need which is not found in dog food because dogs create their own. A significant component of cat food is taurine which cats cannot make themselves. Taurine deficiency can lead to blindness, and other nasty complications.

Taurine never heard of it but if they need it why do not produce it them ?
