Am I a joint tenant or a tenant in common?

Having used the LR site to check on the wording, am I still none the wiser. My proprietorship register says 'Tile Absolute - Proprietor : [MYNAME] and [SPOUSESNAME] of [ADDRESS]. How does help me identify whether I am recorded as a joint tenant or one in common? Are you out there Golden Shred?

If that's all there is, then you are a joint tenancy.

If you were tenants in common there would be something additional like 'no disposition by a sole owner may be made without authority of the court' (sorry can't remember exact wording but it's along those lines)

Land Registry would not hold these details anyway. The distinctions between these are legal - for the purposes of propriatory claims and interests in property. LR would only show theses inetersts as classes (charrges)

OK, thanks. But Erimus1 the Charges Register is also held by the LR as a separate part of the Land Title. So there would be some wording along the lines of Dzug's in there?

The Land Registry would hold these details, it would be on your Title Information Document with the following wording :

No disposition by a sole proprietor of the registered estate (except a trust corporation) under which capital money arises is to be registered unless authorised by an order of the court.

dzug is exactly right, if this text isn't on the document then you are joint tenants
