Because you are used to seeing your 'mirror' face but when you see a photo which is rotated 180 degrees any small asymmetries are exaggerated.

How old is your mirror? It could be worn out and showing you an old reflection.

So what am I meant to believe and how do people see it? Thanks
I suppose the photo is how people see you. I used to have friend whose eyes looked perfectly fine in real life, but looking at her face via a mirror (when washing our hands in a public loo eg) her eyes looked distinctly asymmetric.
mirrors aren't always perfect.
Don't fret about it, Chris. Just grow your hair a bit longer.
