Bt Phonecards, Are They Still Available?

i ask because i couldn´t find anwhere that sold them last time i was in the uk. I was given a cumbersome post office phonecard, american idea, why? you have to input a zillion numbers before you call a number.

However you can get a BT Chargecard that lets you make calls from payphones (or anywhere else) and have the charged to your home BT account. I used to have one (I've probably still got it somewhere) and my friend found it very useful to borrow when she was in hospital, as it avoided paying the really expensive charges on the hospital's portable payphone.

I've a suspicion that a phone locked to Orange ES might see Orange UK as a different network, so it might not work.
It might be simplest to call into any large branch of Asda and buy a new mobile phone. They're always available cheaply there. e.g. Asda are currently selling this model for a fiver:

All you then need is to buy some credit for it. (Remember though, as O_G has indicated, that you'll lose your phone number and remaining credit if you don't 'make a connection action' during a certain period. With EE it's 180 days).
