(Leave the boat for a while and take a trip on the Bure Valley Railway: http:// www.bvr w.co.uk / )
If you moor up at Wroxham you can take a train into Norwich from Hoveton & Wroxham station or, going the other way, have some time at the seaside at either Cromer or Sheringham.
If you can arrange your journey so that you'll be in Acle on a Thursday, the weekly auction is well worth a visit (even if it's just for the entertainment value!):

If you get as far as Great Yarmouth you'll find that the seaside part of the town is a total dump these days. However the town is packed with history:

if you're "newbies", the boatyard can suggest an itinerary for you - but just taking on board Chris's suggestions (which are all good) -
you'll probably get to wroxham on your 2nd/3rd day which, if you start at the weekend and "tourist" a bit will position you to be in acle on Thursday.
Yarmouth is a long way to go in a week, but you could pop down by train from Acle thursday afternoon. This will leave you all day friday to get back to stalham.
a feature of living in the area is the local paper, the EDP's, reports of speeding fines handed out to over-enthusiastic boaters - ensure you observe the speed limits....
