I havent got any newspapers today, so no crosswords. It feels awful. Maybe tomorrow we are going to a city so hopefully we may get Sundays papers as they are always a day behind. But of course they cost twice the price, but i dont care, if i can get them i will.
i love my Sunday papers, i start my crosswords about 1.00pm and carry on through the day until ive done all the Mail and all the Express ones, I send in at least 4 of them.
I hate using OH laptop, it doesnt do automatic punctuation like my ipad so things look sloppy.
i am not really crosswordless (If there is really such a word) I have an envelope of old puzzles that have been a life saver for many years. some of them are 10 years old but we keep going with them. i add to them also when i get a backlog. But I miss the Sunday ones.
Why I remember Le Journal du Dimanche is because 30 years ago I was stopped on the Paris Metro for having an invalid ticket. The inspectors take no prisoners (though they do take bribes). I tried to talk my way out of a fine by saying, "Me Eengleesh, me no parly Frenchee", at which point one of the inspectors said, "Then why have you got a copy of Le Journal du Dimanche under your arm?" I had no answer to that.
