The current Generalist Crossword, which first appeared in Prospect in late June, demands entries to be in by 6th July. I think this could be a misprint and I wonder if anyone has checked with them.
How rot resistant is green oak? My local carpenter tells me that there is no point in treating it, as it already has resistance much higher than softwood treated with creosote.
