gears ???!!!!????

Just got a new bike that has twisty gears on left and right handle.....after reading the manual not sure what the gears on the left are for! any help (in simple terms) would be appreciated! thanks...

symptoms?

Just took my 12 yr old to doctors. He had bad headache and tight chest wednesday friday and sunday. The doctor has diagnosed him with hayfever.... im suprised as not typical symptoms. Do any abbers...
