At first glance it looks like a Sycamore, is it an actual tree or a bush?

sorry I think it is a bush

Then I think it's something from the Acer family which includes Sycamores and Maples. Have you noticed what it does through the year (flowers or fruits, leaves in Autumn etc etc)?

Sycamore (Acer psudoplantanus). Looks like its grown in a hedge and adapted to a bushy habit.
