i hope that your day is a good one - anything on the horizon, care to share?
For the first time in a while i have nothing in the calendar except to sort out the on line shopping, which won't take long. I am still suffering with this sciatica, if that is what it is, codeine doesn't seem to be helping, anyone have any remedy that would like to tell me about that might ease the pain.
Sciatica is no fun whatsoever.
Been there done that.
Other than lots of painkillers in my experience it does go away, eventually.
But you have to be very mindful of what you do and how you do it.
Going base over apex playing kiddies games wouldn't help ;-)
Sciatica is something I've learnt to live with, eventually.
It was a painful road to traverse.
Chin up Emmie, that good old English stiff upper lip will help
no its certainly no fun, been like it for 12 days and its flippin painful.
can't stretch without pain, strange that walking is easier than sitting or sleeping. No more kids games, though that didn't cause this but it certainly didn't help.
how are you today?
I'm doing ok thanks.
Hope you are too, apart from your current dilemma.
When I damaged my lower spine years ago it was more painful to sit, lay down, rest, sleep, etc, than gently move about.
If you do the right thing the pain abates, but as soon as you do the wrong thing it returns with a vengeance.
Morning,
Emmie read through this it may help relieve the pain https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/sciatica/
I have a glut of snack peppers so am going to bottle them in between a busy day with work other than that it’s try to tidy the home and get packed for our holidays in 9 days
so it would seem, it's like having a very very bad tooth ache, non stop and head banging time.... friend that i had a drink with yesterday said that the doctor should have given me other meds, including diclofenac, which would help, but he didn't. Stiff upper lip is one thing, but not this time...
morning RH, i would concur with all that, it does indeed feel like sciatica, the right side of my body feels battered. Heat compress will help so must go to chemist and see what they can suggest.
Painkillers hide the problem.
They also help to exacerbate the problem because you don't realise what's happening in your body.
Redhelens link is worth reading.
i have co-codamol will give it a try, and stretching exercises, sitting is the worse thing to be fair...
still never mind it will get better, with a bit of time and R&R.
Off down to Ireland, luckily it’s only a 5 hour trip, so just me, the husband, dogs and our stuff.
We rent a cottage on a 100 acre preserve with a loch, we rarely leave it just to get groceries and an occasional meal in some lovely restaurants in Westport
i did read it 1ozzy, and agree with what it says. Doctor gave me some exercises to do, most involved kneeling on the floor, which i can't do.
as i have osteo arthritis in both knees...
