Sunday. Still soggy. Yesterday it rained all the way to the TA I was glad I had the wet weather gear on, so at least I was dry and warm. Luckily there was no wind, so the rain didn't get blown into my face.
It was a 70th birthday for a man who has written several books on the canal we are restoring. What a lovely party the were too. When we were ready to leave the TA I went to pay my bar bill to be told it had already been paid by the party.
Not much wildlife about this morning, they are too sensible. Job done and back home.
Tiggy was in first at about 10 last night, I didn't see foxy, but his food was gone at 2.30 this morning when I got up to 'check the horses'.
Cloudy with some breeze this morning, the clouds look like they are going to get up to some mischief later. Such is life.
Not a lot to look forward to is it. It's times like this I miss Malaysia. It wasn't always sunny, but even the rain was warm. I remember being in the swimming pool, it started to rain and everyone except my mate and I got out of the pool and headed for cover. :o}
Morning boaty xx granite guy xx ...'orrible here too..going out for lunch today with oh and his eldest ...it's oh' s birthday tomorrow...so will not be doing much else !
I( remember Germany too. I was at Detmold then Lippstadt. One easter Sunday it rained and turned to ice the instant it hit the ground. It made driving interesting.
Minty resting! It will be on the national news so it will. Parties will be had across the country in celebration. :o} Will you make it through the day doing not a lot? I hope you do. :o]
