Exactly what I was thinking - some of the music was impossible to dance to, and we had yet another week of the contestants in silly costumes.
On dear...I've not seen it yet. No spoilers please!
Usually the music is good ,just the singers awful, not sure why they need singers anyway. This year music choices have been weird and weirder, very difficult to dance to I would imagine.
I haven't watched it for a long time. I tried again at the beginning of this season and lasted all of about 5 minutes. Just a complete racket.
A banging, popular piece of music will always get the dancers a higher vote from the public, regardless of how well they performed. The audience just enjoyed the music more
Awful? I didn’t think so, I found most of it very entertaining, and a couple downright hilarious!
The only one I didn’t like at all was the ‘street dance’ to the Grange Hill theme, and that was nothing to do with the music but more about the choreography.
Wasn’t overkeen on the two girls who danced to Victoria Woods very funny Ballad of Barry and Freda, enjoyed the music but their dance was quite uninspiring.
It was what it was last night, a tribute to the BBCs 100 year anniversary.

Very true Vagus.....very true.....b.ugger the music and the dancers trying to dance to it, it was all about the BBC.
You surprise me sqad, never thought that programme was your cup of tea .

OK anne I will come clean.....I have never watched Strictly and my comments are from Mrs sqad who is an avid supporter as she taught ballet in her youth and entered dancing competitions with he ex. husband as partner.
//she taught ballet in her youth//

Did she indeed. I wonder if I ever met her?
// the BBCs 100 year anniversary.//

// ugger the music and the dancers trying to dance to it, it was all about the BBC //

It was hardly educating the masses.

Lord Reith will be turning in his grave!
I understand sqad.
What is the likelihood that Mrs sqad taught Naomi ballet ? Lol
No, pimply. I'm pretty sure Mrs sqad wasn't my teacher.
It’s the same every week. If they dance to a waltz, why don’t they dance to the correct music? And don’t start me on Tess Daly. Stop holding everyone’s hands!!!!
And I don’t just mean last night, I mean every week. All this PC ridiculousness is getting out of hand, it’s turning into a joke.
I had no problem whatsoever with the music last night and I quite enjoyed the show. I was disappointed with the marks Kim got at the end of the show, as I really loved her dance, but hey I'm no expert ! Hope Jayde gets voted out tonight.
Well, I've just watched the Grange Hill routine again and that was embarrassing. This one now is pretty much the same.

Strictly needs to do something spectacular next week to redeem itself.
I can’t stand the noise of any of it: shouting, shrieking, blaring music. It’s just so LOUD!
the results saw Tony Adams go through, how.....
