We have a duty to give our grandchildren and their children that privilege. We would be shamed for all time to surrender the rights that our own forefathers fought for, and their women suffered penury and hardship to gain, and meekly hand over to a gangster corrupt regime our beautiful country. We have let a fifth column infest the land, for want of a better phrase, because we have had it easy in comparison to our ancestors . If we are not brave enough to say no more of this, we will condemn our children to more of it. They will rightly despise us. Not on our watch please, we cannot let it happen. The consequences will be violent eventually if we stay in. Out. Out flee for your lives if that is what it has to feel like, but let us get out.
I don’t understand the ‘hands up, roll over and die’ attitude of the Remain camp. If, as you say, we will be unable to negotiate a special agreement, without the other restrictions, rules and regulations Europe imposes upon us we’ll still have more control over our own affairs if we leave. Furthermore, as one voice among twenty-seven the argument that we can change Europe from within doesn’t wash. We can’t and we won’t. We have objected to something like 75% of Europe’s initiatives but nevertheless we are bound by them. Sorry, but I really can’t see what’s in it for us.
