Pregancy???
This is on behalf of my sister - can anyone give advice???
she has been showing pregnancy like symptoms for a few weeks now - weight gain, tiredness, spots, some sickness, no period, craving for ice lollies & aversion to some food smells as they make her feel sick.......
14 home pregnancy tests give a positive result!!!......however, doctors urine test came back negative - she went back for a blood test after a further 5 home tests still said positive. doctor agreed symptoms and said sample could be 'contaminated, lay around in surgery all day before test or even someone elses!!' (really inspires confidence!!!) - 2 days later blood test came back negative too!!!
My sister has a history of problems in this area after Ovarian Cysts & Endometriosis - and has had 1 fallopian tube & part of an ovary removed.
Doctors receptionist said that as she was not in pain there would be no appointment until Monday (this was on Fri).......however she did say there were high levels of 'something' in the blood but didn't say what or what it meant!!
She was told by doc that possibilities included - pregnancy, eptopic pregnancy or return of ovarion cyst - she has had NO pain which surely she would get with the last two options.
Any ideas?? could she still be pregnant & just had a dodgy test result, or are home tests giving a false results - please help as she is starting to panic and thinking all sorts of things are going on!!
Thanks xXx

She went to the doctors for a check at about 7 weeks, who discovered she was not actually pregnant after all. Her body had mimicked the signs of pregnancy but there was nothing in the sac.
Apparaently this happens in 1 in 3 women (!) but most don't realise it because it happens so early on.
