Missing Information In Relation To Quiz Questions.

I have noticed recently that a lot of posters when asking for quiz help are not entering the title of the quiz and closing date at the top of their post. As well as being useful to those who may be interested in supporting the quiz, it also forms part of the site guidelines.

That also applies to some crosswords. I am also wary when it comes to providing help with quizzes in case they are meant to be no-asking. Perhaps that is something which could be indicated in the monthly quizzes round-up.

It doesn't help when three or four words are posted with no indication as to whether it's a dingbat, anagram, cryptic, a sound-alike or they link.

This is probably against the rules but I don't like it when you've spent quite a while finding an answer or even answers for someone and they don't bother coming back to say they got it/them.

Another good point ellliemay1. Thanking someone costs nothing and makes the person who has offered help more likely to assist again.

All good points. I do have to ask for help occasionally but I work very hard first and feel very pleased with myself when I get an answer I've been working on.

Agree with this but maybe it’s a local quiz and the poster does not want to divulge for instance where in Scotland England Wales and Ireland or indeed anywhere in the world for that matter where they come from .

I do try to abide by the rules of the sit and thank anyone who helps me. I also give clues or answers where I can. I do get annoyed where a list of questions is posted 1 2 3 and not the number of the actual questions - is that petty?
