Bathgate seems to have gone by the board. I just found it on the map. It's in Scotland.

Probably other folk can tell you better than I can, but it is half way between Edinburgh and Glasgow. You pass it on the M8.

bathgate on th m8 between edinburgh and glasgow
central scotland about 40 miles from glasgow and maybe 12 from edinburgh.
used to be where british layland made trucks but ckosed in the late 70s and is now a housing estate .made famous in the proclaimers song latter to america.
