Wednesday. Had a bit of aggro geting t'internet this morning. Been trying since ten to four. I think it's a local connection problem. Well, that's what the engineer said!
Nippy outside this morning. A heavy dew, almost frost.
It rained for most of yesterday, so nothing outside got done. Such is life.
I'm fine mate thanks. A bit narked 'cos my GP has told me that this time I've got to cut back on things. She's right it is getting too much. I've decided to stop doing charters. I'm going to miss them. a few other things I'm stopping too. Not happy about it, but she was serious.
Maybe instead of being the skipper you can go along as the "host". Fill the tourists full of interesting info. No need to give up completely, just trim back a bit.
Over here in some places there are "Barby boats", you go for a cruise, a knowledgeable person explains points of interest and cooks a snack.
A nice idea too oz. but tyhat's the crerwman/womans job. I'm still going to do the visitor centre. I can also go and open up the Visitor Centre for lunch charter guests to have a browse and a cuppa while they choose thei menu, thern I can phone it through to the Tudor Arms when they leave bankside. That's not too strenuous.
