Dear ed. just tried to get the anwsers to a quiz i sent in by the 30th novemer and up comes my profile for all to see. i states that it will be there until 14. 45 11th december, why was it there in the first place and why is it still there now 14.55 ??

Guillie - do you mean your public profile on AB? If so then we can all view each others, click on my avatar to see mine for example. There is no personal info on it, just your questions and answers and their tallies, it updates every 15 minutes or so.

We can all click on your profile, guillie, that's why there is very little on it. The profile updates every 15 minutes but it's always there.

thanks mamyalynne and boxtops i know we can on the answerbank but it is just that when i went into google to get scottish countrydance quiz answers ab, came up with my profile even without going into the ab? does it happen when you type the same thing scottish country dance quiz answers on google

Anything you type on AnswerBank is retrievable through Google.....that's the way Search Engines work.

Ah I understand you now, if I were to google a question I had asked on here - then yes both the question and often a link to my profile will be part of the hits, so yes it does happen.

Google is a search engine, it searches for thongs on the internet, AB is a web site on the internet so it is also searched by google.... So if you search for something using google that has been posted on AB google will find it on AB.

Try searching for your user name on google.

Guiliie, why are you going into Google to find answers on AB? Perhaps you don't know, but if you click on your profile, all your questions come up listed under your profile, you don't have to go to any external website to find them.

boxtops i was not going into google to find answers to use, just for answers I have submitted to a quiz that has not been returned to me to see how well I have done. Surely if you submit a quiz, you expect the answers if you have submitted an S.A.E.
