Maybe you accidentally deactivated it on your AB profile. Go onto your AB 'my profile' and check that the avatar box is ticked.
Maybe you changed your registered email address on Gravatar or on AB. You need the same email address for both
If it's only recently disappeared, wait until after 9pm to see if it comes back automatically. (AB refreshes its data from Gravatar hourly).

Then try changing your avatar on Gravatar (even if it's only to a copy of your old one). Ensure that you give it a 'G' rating.

If that doesn't work, use the 'Contact Us' link, the foot of this column, to contact AB's tecihies.

Thanks for the quick answer, I have it back now. I will try to carry out the change later and let you know.
Congratulations....Your Avatar is back; just as is factor30's....Yesterday, he was a blank black square.

Ron.
The sun had set for the night
Hi factor30.....It's nice to see you come back smiling.

It is the case that AB is unable to sort out the problem they are having with Avatars being continually altered. I still say that AB is at fault but have reached the stage of almost giving up in my pursuit of matters being resolved.

''but have reached the stage of almost giving up''

I seriously doubt that... there are many many hours in the day you know ;-p
C'mon Ron. It's not exactly important is it and the Ed's made his feelings quite clear.
Where's that brick wall when you need it................
That's the one mamya :-)
Zacs...It may appear to be unimportant. However, if someone can mess about with our Avatars, is it not possible that our postings can also be altered to something which we never intended.?

Imagine me saying...Zacs "I agree with you" and that then being published "Zacs I disagree with you".

Ron, I think you're being a bit paranoid about this. Ed has commented many times that it's an issue between AB and Gravatar - it's nothing personal to those of us affected. I find it more amusing than annoying.
Oh Ron do behave!
Hi boxtops....Perhaps I am being paranoid about the time it is taking AB to sort out a problem it has with Gravatar; if that is the case.!! (Is it three months or more.?) Time is running out on AB!!

In the meantime, perhaps, mamyalynne can recommend for me, a suitable medication.:-)

I love ya Ron, but ya don't half moan about the littlest of things, lol. Have a word with the more sensible half of your duo will ya?
If you carry on in this vein Ron I can see you going without an avatar all together................
These threads do run, Ron. Ron? They do run, Ron..
Rofl @ Maj....
