Having read the question and any answers, I am having a problem getting back to the main page by clicking on the "back "arrow. More and more I am having to click on the AB tag to get back.
Is it just me??

Since we had a problem with the Back Arrow a few weeks back, I have to double-click on it now, to go back. (However I do have to admit that I hardly ever use the back facility!)
Sorry, but it has been working fine for me since the techies dealt with the problem a month or so ago. I use Google Chrome

factor30,
So do I!!

boxtops, I too have tried the double click.
Just click onto one of the categories.
in chrome, i sometimes have to right click the back arrow and chose what page to go to
The back arrow- that takes me back to my last page which isn't usually my home page. If you want the home page then click on what looks like Big Ben
If you click 'back' too soon then you can still get a back page labelled advertisement, or something like that, which is reminiscent of the previous problem. Just open up the "back" list of pages and go back far enough.
I also had a problem the other night, I tried to post a YouTube video (as I often do) but on Wednesday evening I couldn't "Submit" it as the submit button was greyed out. I could submit posts but not YouTube links. Gave up - not tried since.
Did you type anything in the answer box Ann? I think you have to to be able to submit.
ummmm's right, you have to (or at least I have to) put something in the answer panel, even if it's just a full stop, before you can submit a YouTube link. Goodness knows why.

Factor30,
It isn't necessarily the Home page that I want to get to, merely where I was before reading a new question/answer.
By "main page" do you mean a topics page? You could click the topic on the left hand side instead.

If you've submitted an answer, the page your landed on (the page you've just answered a question on), counts as another visit to that page, so you may have to go "back" to the page you're already on before going back any further :)

Another option is to visit your recently viewed questions here: http://www.theanswerb...=user_recently_viewed

AB Editor,
Thank you for responding. The problem that I have is that I merely want to get back to where I was before reading a new question/answer, I have been doing this by using the back arrow since I started on this site quite some while ago. I can no longer do it.
The back arrow has failed a few times for me this week, but seems to rectify itself after a while.
Right-click on back button, which brings up your current cache of recently viewed pages on this site, the click on the page you want, the contents of your cache will take you there.

I have now up-dated to FF 10.0.2 and everything still appears to be o.k.

No problem going back over half a dozen pages in AB.

vivandorron,
Thank you fro responding. I normally use Chrome, but I have just changed (5mins) to FF and so far it seems to be working as I would expect. We will see.
Thanks again.

Back on Chrome, same problem as before, so, from here on in, it has to be FF for the AB.
Thanks everybody for all your suggestions and interest.
