I don't take much notice of the ads here, but one for FXGM FX Global Markets that I've just been bombarded with flashes so harshly and so quickly I would imagine it could be positively dangerous to people with epilepsy. Not good.

Chill, have you seen it? It really is appalling! I had to come out of the page I was looking at. I couldn't stand it!
Our Sophos detected a virus or malware when I clicked onto Answerbank for the first time this morning.
I saw it yesterday, is it still appearing? I couldn't even look at it long enough to fathom out what it was advertising.

Ah, I see.

Robina,I know what you mean. Awful!
It's not quite the same but the Blackberry advert is also really annoying as it seems to jump onto the page whenever the cursor is situated on the right hand side of the screen.
Thanks for letting me know, I'll try and root it out. Which position did you see it in?
Hi Ed

I was in a seated position when I saw it
You might just find yourself on the naughty step after that Mrs O. :)

Spotted it, reported.

Morning Ed, on the left below the topics list.

Tilly, yes the Blackberry ad jumping up at you is annoying.
It must be targeted advertising and they don't think I'm a suitable customer, because I haven't seen this. I just get those "Rebecca is 3 miles away" ads (although I've not seen her today) and that Blackberry one that kept taking over my screen if my cursor went near it
Question Author
Ed, cross-posted there. Thanks.
Just need to hunt down the BB one - sorry I've been slow on that, I must have got distracted :)

That's usually on the right under the latest posts box.
Yep - it's just finding the source url they're advertising it from is the issue (assuming it turns up again!)
I get a ott flashing advert congratulating me on being the 100,000 visitor.
