Just started up again, I'm closing AB down, Norton has alerted me of 6 attempted attacks in the last 30 seconds.

I dumped Norton (for the 2nd time) a couple of years ago and currently use an AV based on BitDefender. It doesn't report any problems if I let the ads show.
I saw this in latest posts and thought you were on about trolls.
I am only getting it when I come onto Answerbank, everything else is o.k. My spyware doesn't normally keep informing of viruses, it just deletes them. So something is amiss with AB.
Be careful then bibblebub if nothing's being reported. Attacks still thick and fast from AB ads here. I'll stay away again for a bit.
i reckon that it's more likely to be false reports by norton

Not so, bibble, according to Ed's findings yesterday - he thought he'd fixed it. It was fine this morning, now the things are springing up every 15 seconds or so. Different reference numbers each time.
i'll be doing a scan by malwarebytes as usual during this evening and i'll be surprised if it finds anything
i get warnings from norton using ab with explorer but not when using chrome?
Okay Ed, I too have had a Malware Warning -and in fact Google Chrome won't even let me get into AnswerBank. (I've had to use IE9 to post this.)
I'm getting pff for now
i have just received a page warning, not seen before on this site about malicious attacks, can someone explain what is happening please.

i have Kaspersky, not Norton, so no idea what this is...

I believe that a company that places ads on the web (silverdisc.co) either have been infected them selves or are trying to place some kind of tracking bug on AB.
It started thursday, was dealt with yesterday but has returned today.
It`s not coming from the ads (I`ll admit I have an adblocker). I`ve got a warning from Google rather than Norton. "Reported Attack Page - Of the 173 pages we tested on the site over the last 90 days, 0 page resulted in malicious software being downloaded. This site has not hosted malicious software over 90days. The last time Google visited this site was on 2012-02-22 and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2012-02-21. Over the past 90 days, www.theanswerbank.co.uk appeared to function as an intermediary for the infection of 1 site(s) including bit.ly/"
i have adblocker too.
I have Avast. It seems to be Google Chrome that has identified Malware on Answerbank and won't let me in.
I assume it's adverts but I'm signing off and hopingthe AB techies can sort it, even if it moves taking off all ads until they can be checked individually
www.theanswerbank.co.uk contains content from www.theanswerbank.co.uk, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
i use firefox, so is it right across the board ?
