Site Update April 2013

Afternoon all,

Some changes coming up, we'll probably be down for an hour at 9pm.

1. Search pagination, improved look including the original poster and a "last by" link.

2. Additionally we've added a relevancy score on searches and related question. We plan to make both better, but we thought the information was interesting enough to display for now (if a bit wonky)

3. Fixed the lifetime service badge being incorrectly awarded bug, the long titles effect layout bug, and the long link issues on

4. We're updating the badges and best answers code, and Best answer and badges should tally correctly after the update.

5. We've fixed some ad positioning issues and begun to change the language from "register" to "sign up"

Yep. It used to be limited to one page of 50 per "type" - we'll see what the knock on effect are.

Any chance you could respond to my post #9 in response to your #8 on page 1 please Ed?

Not wishing to sound facetious but does 13 months constitute a 'very long time' in AB chronology, or can you please tell me the date of the re-launch, just for clarity?

Ed, the capitals thingy seems to have been changed now, people are talking about JSA and so on, and keeping the capitalisation - good

And please Ed can we also see the name change (or lack of it) "in hand", because although some ABers have asked many times why their names have still not been changed, you seem reluctant to answer them.
