Is this possible please? I have been given some advice by 1 correspondent, and have done as suggested but without success. I would like to get him to advise the next action.

Yes, I have seen questions targeted at specific people. Just put FAO and the name of the person in the space for the title and then put your question as usual. Then hope they see it, which they usually do!!

To be honest, I was looking for a bit more than wishin' an' hopin' (as Dusty Springfield would say)

I've suggested a couple of times that we have a section for FAOs in order to direct other people to specific questions via an appropriate link - or even to post a throw-away email address - posts to be limited to just a line or two to prevent people prattling and misusing the facility. Don't know if it's on the Ed's 'Suggestions to be considered' list though. I think it's a really good idea, and so do several others.
