Oh I see. I like to toggle in and out of youtube and the radio though Psybbo while I'm on AB. I can mute each ad individually as it blares out but before then I've already jumped out of my skin or mrsfactor has thrown something at me for making her jump/disturbing her TV programme/reading

Neorofen and Boots/Gavascon are two of the culprits as they have been for a while now. They are still appearing as the big ads just below the answer box, i.e. just to the right of the Best Answer box. The sudden sound of an ad blaring out really annoys mrsfactor and makes me jump.

I'm not the only user who has raised this issue over the last few months. If the answer is that there is nothing AB can do to trace/stop these or that AB needs the revenue then please let us know and I'll stop raising the issue.

They appear regularly. I'm not sure what you mean by 'in questions or categories'. I'ally reading answers and answering the odd the question, usually in Crosswords or in Q&P (for misplaced crossword posts) and occasionally in Law, Business, Music

A few words seem to have disappeared there- "I'ally reading... " should say " I am usually reading..."

Certain categories, such as Q&P have ads supplied from a different supplier for the category MPU (square one). The ones on all the questions are through Google adsense.

The Boots one comes in with the sound on even if mouse is nowhere near it,
you mute it and up it comes again with the sound on,
I now use AB with the speakers off.
