Until Saturday I could just click on "The AnswerBank" in my favourites list and I was logged in immediately. Now I have to give my userid and when my machine gives my password I have to enter it again. Why? (And why do we need a password for this site anyway?)

What Browser are you using. If it's Internet Explorer then I wouldn't be surprised that you have problems with Answerbank.

Is it only with AB that you are having a problem.?

Hi Alex, Thank you for that. Yes, I am using Internet Explorer but this is the only site that seems to be a problem. I did try using Firefox but when I downloaded an update there were all sort of add ons that I neither needed or trusted so I gave that up.
Passwords are a good idea or I could sign in as you and post anything.

You have probably cleared the cache in your browser or changed the settings. There is a 'remember me/keep me logged in' option on the sign in screene
screen, not screene!
I'm on internet explorer and it's remembering me, so it must be something you've cleared off your computer. As factor says, make sure the box is ticked too.
I thought that you might be using IE because, purely my opinion, it is Not the best of Browsers and can have compatibility problems with some sites and can depend upon what version of IE that you are using.

It has surprised me that you have tried Firefox and and were given by Mozilla a number of Add-ons which you had not requested. It is possible that they came along with a download which you choose to install from another site.....It often happens and does cause a lot of complications.
