Cant Access It Or It Freezes .

I get the same problem, have been for a while now. Some days it is not too bad and others I give up and turn the PC off. AB Editor you say all the major browsers now have memory leak problems but how come it is only happening with this site. Everything else works fine.

methyl It's a desk top and am not using wireless for PC.
IE 9, Java 7 (update 51 ) , Adobe Flash 12.0.0.70.

I'm now using IE 9 as the default and ' today ' each time it freeezes I just close the message window and it works again for varying periods of time from minutes to as long as I'm using the site. However yesterday I couldn't rely on the AB being available at all .

I agree with what the 'theshedman' says. It has been a problem for months. !

As soon as I closed the above post I got the IE message saying it was not working . I closed the window and it started working again immediately .

methyl Will do ! I don't have Firefox at the moment. I have disabled the Adobe Flash ., so I will wait and see what happens.

Ditto methyl I disabled Adobe Flash and it didn't help at all . I have just spent 10 min trying to get into AB.

methyl When I booted up this a.m everything was very slow opening.
However when I enabled Adobe Flash again everything has speeded up again. It be a coincidence !
This site is still failing to open or freezes or says IE is not responding . Hope this post works.

Facebook freezes on me the first time I log in. If I go elsewhere or even turn off and return later it is fine.

I MAY have sorted it out I had IE 9 as default but decided to go to default status again. This should have made no difference but it did. AB became
more stable , not right but better. Google was also saying IE9 was not being supported and may be causing problems.
I then made Chrome my default browser again and for the past 24 hours I've had no problems with AB.
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for all your suggestions they have helped to solve the problem , whatever it actually was.

When I was on IE8 AB became unuasble it froze so much (and no other site affected). There were lots of threads about it from lots of others and I really felt no-one cared. The advice was to change browsers and I switched to Chrome. That made it better for quite a while but now I find it's doing it again on a daily basis. I don't know what it is about this site that makes it so temperamental but obviously it's not enough of a problem for enough users for it to matter to the towers.

A quick update the AB site has been working most of the time , just occasionally I get the message Chrome cant find this address, but it comes up when I retry.

Modeller, you're not the only one. For days now AB freezes when I come on and takes at least 6 or 7 attempts for me to get to a thread to respond. Has been like this for almost a week now. I use Chrome and when it doesn't load properly (it says 'advert loading) a pop-up comes up from Chrome to say 'page not loading, do you want to kill page or reload'.
Everything else on the internet works perfectly apart from AB.
This isn't a moan per say, but just wondered if the Ed was aware how many people are having this issue and if there is anything that can be done? cheers

I am unable to appreciate why anyone uses Internet Explorer as a default browser. It is very unlikely that you will have access problems to AB if you use Google Chrome or my choice of Firefox.
